Introductions

So apparently I am better at introducing fictional characters than I am myself, so this is me stopping to say hello! I thought I would join in with the introductions since I have a tendency to forget that my username is not actually my name, and that saying 'Hi' as Kestrel is less than helpful.



So my name is Kirsty, I have a History Degree from the University of Chester. Feel free to ask me history questions and I will either be a wealth of information or you get to be very amused watching me run around like a headless chicken trying to find you answers. I don't mind either outcome. I love a research challenge



I love books, obviously, and I tend to write in rather lengthy prose; I don't seem to know how to start anything that dose not go on to have epic proportions. I am also a TV and Film fan and I sometimes find myself thinking that way, even if scrips are not my usual medium. Just don't try and squeeze poetry out of me, or you may get nothing more than my Grandads old rude limericks. I like too many genres to make a list, so I will just say that my tastes are rather eclectic.



I am looking forward to making the acquaintance of fellow writers, both here and in our weekly pub based meetings

Can I just say, your spelling is also a flaw in your art. Or am I being mean?

Mean but true. Also I had some issues with getting this to post at all so I wasn't as attentive with reading it back after I wrote it out for the third time as perhaps I should have been. Anyway, it's not so bad. Everyone can read it.

I also feel I should point out now that my greatest weakness is my spelling. I am aware of this fact (as, apparently, is Black_Mamba). So anything I post will probably have errors. Unfortunately I just don't see them until someone points them out. Which (not seeing it) I find endless infuriating.

Greetings!!!!! I have spelling issues as well. Which invariably end up causing swearing when I notice them.
